Naturally, a wind ensemble also forms part of the Souvenir programme. This year, a remarkable quintet appears: Ensemble Ouranos, expanded for this programme with pianist Tanguy de Williencourt.

The musicians found each other and founded a wind quintet in 2014 at the Conservatoire de Paris, where they graduated with distinction. Following their residency at the Fondation Singer-Polignac, they performed at festivals in France and abroad and collaborated with a wide range of musicians.

In 2017, the ensemble won several prizes at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition, followed by a first recording with NoMadMusic and further international tours. Since then, the quintet has grown into an active and flexible ensemble that also develops educational projects, including its own academy for wind quintets, launched in 2023. Through this, they commit themselves to training a new generation of wind players to the same high level.

With these five wind musicians and an outstanding pianist, you can expect an exceptional concert.
