Vivaldi Recomposed
You may know Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons as one of the most famous works in classical music. Max Richter gives this masterpiece a new face. In his recomposed version, you hear fragments of the original, but presented in a different light: more intense and more cinematic.
Under the direction of violinist Isabelle van Keulen, Richter’s layered music is given full space. You hear how baroque and neoclassical elements intertwine and how familiar melodies gradually shift into a contemporary sound world. This makes the evening accessible both to the seasoned listener and to those who wish to experience classical music in a different way.
Sunlight and On the Nature of Daylight are also on the programme. Two works that draw you in immediately. Warm, melancholic and crystal-clear in sound. Music that makes you pause and at the same time sets something in motion.
