For I’ll be your daddy, creators Stella van den Sigtenhorst and Lusanne Arts practised being parents. For later. For the future. Maybe. Someday. They want it. They think. But they are also afraid.

With both the desire for—and the fear of—having a child, Stella and Lusanne set aside their egos and prepare themselves to care. With full commitment, they create a world in which they can imagine it. They explore the outer edges of what parenthood can be. What does parenthood look like when we dare to think beyond the beaten path?

They search for alternatives. Because the desire for a child is there—but so is the doubt. What does it mean to take responsibility in a time that already feels so full? How do you make space for care without losing yourself? With raw imagery and a strong dose of humour, they build a world in which parenthood becomes something shared.
