Mus is the only one to escape the notorious pirate gang The Five Serpents after they raid the city of Zeeburgerdam. She sets out in search of Captain Evilbeard, once a member of this pirate gang and the only one who dares to stand up to the brutal leader. But Evilbeard has no intention of picking up his sword again—until Mus brings him important news…

Before she knows it, Mus finds herself in a gigantic adventure full of extraordinary forest creatures, a ghost ship and a city of shipwrecks. With the support of Captain Evilbeard, his brother Bertrand, Crooked Karel and The Buffalo—and a hefty dose of courage—Mus is determined to drive away the pirates. But will her help arrive in time?

The makers of De Brief voor de Koning present a musical, inventive and exciting performance for everyone aged 8 and up, full of adventure and humour. With a tough orphan girl, a captain with a small heart, outcasts, misfits and marauding pirates!
