Together with Amsterdam Sinfonietta and artistic director Candida Thompson, he presents a Christmas programme filled with warmth and energy. You will hear, among other works, Bach’s famous Brandenburg Concerto, music by Vivaldi and a new song cycle by Carlos Simon, written especially for John Holiday. The After Party is inspired by the Harlem Renaissance and breathes the history of the Black community.

Jazz songs and Christmas carols also find their place in this evening. As a result, this concert does not feel like a formal Christmas tradition, but like a programme that opens up different musical worlds.
