Naar het boek van Saskia Noort
A thriller in which everything that seemed certain slowly begins to crumble.
After the success of Nieuwe Buren, the makers once again bring a story by Saskia Noort to the stage. You follow Mathilde, a successful plastic surgeon who seems to have her life firmly in order. While she opens her new private clinic, her home base falls apart. Her house is open, her husband loses himself in a burn‑out and her daughter withdraws further and further.
Mathilde tries to regain control, but cannot do so without help. When her ex reappears, everything shifts. What begins as a practical solution soon turns into something you can no longer oversee. The boundary between trust and distrust fades, and nothing feels safe anymore.
Isa Hoes and Edwin Jonker carry this claustrophobic thriller. On stage you see how an apparently normal life tilts. The story touches on something recognisable from today. How do you keep your grip when everything changes at once, and who can you still believe when it comes close?
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
