the art of not doing
A show in which every note and every silence gains meaning.
In the art of not doing, praam shares music from his new album, which comes to life in a special live set‑up. Together with a cellist and equipped with loop stations, they build the compositions layer by layer. The result is a hypnotic interplay of melody and space, in which minimalism and emotion meet.
the art of not doing revolves around the ‘now’ – this moment – in which infinite inspiration and animation can be experienced, provided we can let go of thoughts and worries about the future and the past. This is achieved through the combination of warm cello, restrained piano melodies and carefully constructed arcs of tension, creating a hypnotic experience that takes you from whisper‑soft to sweeping.
A unique opportunity to experience new music that is presented slightly differently each evening – live, up close and unrepeatable. An evening in which time seems to stand still and the smallest details make the greatest impact.
Ambitus presents praam
Ambitus builds a bridge between today’s contemporary composers and their audience. In this hectic world, it is pleasant to disconnect now and then and lose yourself in the beauty of music. Performed by the composers themselves, each Ambitus presents performance takes you on a musical journey interwoven with personal stories from the maker. It hardly gets more personal than this. For some, this musical stream may be better known as neo‑classical; Ambitus is the platform for contemporary music performed by the composers themselves, aiming to inspire and connect.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
