Presenters Marco and Liesbeth are terribly bored in their popular talk show. Every day yet another professor or celebrity sits there saying all sorts of dull things about reliable research. But the ratings keep dropping. Marco and Liesbeth have to come up with something sensational time and again to save their show: “All children stink!” Gradually they become entangled in their own lies and lose track of what is true and what is not. Will they manage to get out of it?

How do we deal with all this exaggerated news on television? Frenzied reporters manipulate and twist what is actually being said. In Alle kinderen stinken, the theatre audience steps into the world of talk shows: a flashy set, multiple TV screens, funky jingles and a colourful parade of characters. In this orchestrated chaos, everything moves quickly and the audience becomes both participant and accomplice.
