Every evening feels different
Although Joost initially came for the music, he is now primarily a fan of the variety in genres. "The atmosphere varies with each performance and the audience, which makes each time special," he tells. It starts in the foyer, where you can immediately feel that each performance has its own energy. That is part of the magic of a live performance. "Live is always better than on TV," he says. Being so close, you feel much more involved in what happens. Sometimes it’s a moment to clear your head, and other times it prompts deep thinking. You hear stories that you wouldn’t otherwise hear, which can change your perspective on situations.
More than just a performance
A night at the Theater is not complete for Joost without a drink and a chat. The social experience makes it just as special as the performance itself. Conversations with friends, other visitors, or staff contribute to the atmosphere and enhance the feeling of experiencing something together.
Accessibility is in the details
This warm, social experience is further enhanced by the accessible atmosphere in the Theater, something Joost greatly appreciates. He notes that everyone in the building works hard to make things easy and pleasant for everyone. “The staff are always friendly and helpful,” he says. Even though the elevator is a bit on the small side, he appreciates the effort; you are guided to your seat and assisted with retrieving your coat. That truly makes a difference for him.
Seamless enjoyment
For Joost, accessibility means more than just the physical entry to the venue. It’s also about keeping prices affordable, which is essential for him. Thanks to the Podiumpas, he can attend performances weekly, allowing him to regularly experience new events without worrying about the costs. What makes this even more beautiful for Joost is that the Podiumpas not only gives him access to the theater but also to a community of like-minded individuals. “I often go to performances with other pass holders, and we even meet monthly to choose new shows,” Joost shares. It helps him make valuable connections and share his love for the Theater with others.
