The Untouchable Thoughts - Clara's portrait
Mourning always goes hand in hand with compassion. Others understand the pain and offer help without you having to ask for it. But that is not always the case.
Gianmarco Moneti takes you on a journey in this piano concert through the story of Clara, one of his dearest friends. On March 22, 2022, Clara lost her father – he chose to end his life. A tragic moment, incomprehensible for many. Asking questions is difficult because you are afraid they may be inappropriate. And that creates a gap between mourning and compassion.
Using Clara’s own words, inspiring visual elements, and the music of three composers, Gianmarco brings her emotions to life: anger, dissociation, and loneliness. Presented through Gianmarco's eyes, he attempts to bridge the gap between mourning and compassion. Because only when we open ourselves to each other, we need never stand alone in this.
Gianmarco Moneti
At just 11 years old, Gianmarco started taking piano lessons. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees with honors at the Conservatory of Turin, specializing in chamber music and classical piano. After numerous concerts at prestigious festivals and collaborations with international artists, he is now performing at Concertzaal Tilburg.
