How could it have come to this? In Ik mag niet klagen Marcel van Roosmalen tries to get a grip on his own life – and in doing so inevitably ends up in Arnhem. The city where you are already 2–0 behind at birth, but where, to his regret, he grew into the ‘Arnhemmer of the Nation’.

Outside Arnhem he receives praise as well as death threats for his razor-sharp observations and merciless humour. Within Arnhem he is carried on hands. Yet moving back is not an option, because that can only disappoint. What remains then? Nothing. And he is not even allowed to complain.

Van Roosmalen is known for his sensational podcasts, sharp columns and sold-out theatre halls. InIk mag niet klagen he shows once again why. After earlier successes with Gijs Groenteman and Eva Hoeke, he now finally takes to the stage alone.
