From the wilderness to the busy city.

Running through the forests, singing by the campfire, jumping in puddles, and sleeping under the stars. The family of Captain Fantastic enjoys a carefree life in nature every day. The children do not go to school; dad thinks school is nonsense. Instead, they explore nature and learn from each other. Grandma finds it strange, but the family doesn’t care.

Suddenly, everything changes for the family. Mom becomes seriously ill and must go to the hospital. The family has to trade their free life for the busy city. It takes some getting used to…

In the city, everything is different: cars race by, there is noise everywhere, and fast food is ready faster than you can say ‘campfire soup.’ But how do you stay true to yourself in a world full of rules and chaos? And how do you ensure that your family stays together when disagreements and frustration arise?

Captain Fantastic is an adventurous family show (suitable from 8 years, see also the viewer guide) full of live music, humor, and heartwarming moments. It's about growing up, norms and values, and everything parents teach you – or don't. Join on a wild journey and discover how the love between parents and children overcomes nearly everything.
