The Dutch top formation Fuse shares the stage with the world-renowned mandolin player Avi Avital. A fantastic combination, where different styles come together with timeless music in a modern guise.
Fuse, the house band of the TV program Podium Klassiek, presents a surprising and versatile program together with Avi Avital, featuring music by composers such as Bach, Bartók, Tsintsadze, Omer Avital, Bryce Dessner, and Gabriella Smith. From intimate interplay between cello and mandolin to a swinging jazz violin trio and a perfect fusion of drums and strings. A concert full of musicality and improvisation.
Fuse began their adventure in Amsterdam's club circuit, where they brought classical music in a fresh and innovative way. Hundreds of performances followed in the Netherlands and abroad. They have now become indispensable in the music world and won the Edison Klassiek Publieksprijs.
Avi Avital is one of the most prominent mandolin players of our time. He brings the instrument to major concert halls around the world and seeks a unique mix of classical, folk, and jazz music. His playing is energetic, emotionally expressive, and always captivating. The New York Times wrote about him: “Passionate and explosively charismatic.”
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
