With ROYAAL , the Euregio Jeugdorkest presents a program full of grandeur and royal imagination. The young musicians take the audience to royal courts, fairy-tale palaces, and mythical realms.

The concert opens with the festive coronation march Orb and Sceptre by William Walton, written for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, a majestic start that immediately sets the tone. Following this is the enchanting waltz and the dramatic midnight moment from Cinderella by Sergei Prokofiev, bringing the fairy tale of Cinderella to life.

Further into the program, we will hear dances from Le Cid by Jules Massenet, a story set at the Spanish court, bursting with temperament. After the intermission, the poetic symphonic tale La Princesse lointaine by Nikolai Tcherepnin opens, followed by the spectacular Belkis, Regina di Saba by Ottorino Respighi, a vibrant musical fresco surrounding the legendary Queen of Sheba. As a finale, the iconic throne room from Star Wars with music by John Williams will be performed: a triumphant ending that perfectly fits the royal atmosphere of this evening.

ROYAL thus becomes a concert full of majesty, fairy tales, and exotic splendor, performed with the energy, talent, and enthusiasm of young musical talents.
