The Dutch pianist and composer Joachim Challem presents his second album Dyade in the intimate setting of the Studio. Following the success of his debut album The Road, which featured sold-out shows at Het Concertgebouw and an international tour, Challem returns with an in-depth musical exploration of duality, connection, and balance.

Dyade embodies the relationship between two elements: solitude and community, silence and movement, romance and reality. During his move to the mountains of Northern Spain, Challem discovered how these opposites continually arise in his life and surroundings. The album is a tribute to the power of contrasts and how they together form a meaningful unity.

Challem grew up in the Netherlands, in a loving family with his two mothers and brother. His music is imbued with personal stories, nature experiences, and philosophical reflections. He partly lives in the mountains of Northern Spain, where he builds his own house and composes on pianos he encounters along the way. His first album The Road was literally born out of travel, a musical quest for home.

Since 2022, Challem has made an impressive journey: #1 in the classical charts, over 45 million streams, and attention from platforms such as Calm Radio, ClassicNL, NPO Klassiek, and TIDAL. His work captures the imagination of a broad audience and connects classical music to contemporary life in a refreshing way.
